Axiom Hotel

The hotel was clean, quiet, stylish and convenient. It was great to have the cafe on hand when arriving or leaving, especially early in the mornings. The cable car turnaround right outside is incredibly handy as well as the other transport options just a short walk away. My room was clean and a good size (I went with a small room upgrade before I arrived). Staff were all helpful and friendly. Plenty of towels provided and the bed was incredibly comfy, perfect after long days of walking. As a solo female traveller, I felt super safe at the hotel, and appreciated the bar to lock my door from the inside. I also had a query on charges which booking.com incorrectly told me was a security deposit not returned. When I queried this, booking.com could not fathom what had happened and we're pretty useless, but once escalated to the hotel, I received a direct email explaining everything clearly and it was resolved in minutes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Axiom, the hotel was lovely, immaculately presented and very clean. The location was excellent, right in the middle of everything and right out the front is a cable car stop. All the staff were an absolute delight to deal with, so friendly, professional and helpful, especially Dhali, who went above and beyond to help us and gave some wonderful recommendations for things to do, which turned out to be top notch recommendations. Thanks so much for making our stay so pleasant, Dhali. I’d also like to give Tianna a special shout out, she was so lovely and was an absolute treasure with helping us on a late night call for assistance. We highly recommend Axiom and would love to stay here again when we find ourselves in San Fransisco again.

Great place to stay in the city center! Fantastic conditions, with one of the biggest attractions right outside the door (the tram!). The subway is also right there, and there are multiple stores to shop along the avenues. The room was good and I loved the conditions! Very comfortable bed!

Although the room is small, it is modern and has everything that we needed, ie iron, ironing board and hair dryer! We love the thick and long bathroom towel! The water pressure of the shower was also strong! I like how they try to promote reducing plastics bottle by giving 2 flasks in the room for you to refill your water from the water dispenser located on every floor of the hotel. We love the location of this hotel which is right smack in front of the cable car station. Cable car leads you to many major stopovers and cost $8 one way. Our room gets a window view of all the cable car turn table action every morning and that street feels safe. Just be careful of the other entrance which is very close to the tenderloin area where most of the homeless people are in San Francisco. Noted that due to this reason, the hotel also locked both its entrances and you can only access via the room key card. But we ventured out to a Vietnamese restaurant “bodega” that’s just there, which serves very very good Vietnamese food! Powell metro / BART (to airport) station is also located just a stone throw away from this hotel. We were there for a NBA game and muni takes us from chase centre directly back to Powell station, saves us the surge in calling Lyft! Shopping is also everywhere near the hotel! We can shop and drop our shopping bags in the room before venturing out again.

The location was perfect - within walking distance of so much and right next to public transportation for everything else. Steps to BART with a direct train to the airport. The staff was very helpful.
